What is a Twisted Comix??

Twisted Comix is a comedic webcomic following the lives of a few average teenagers who just happen to be experiencing this twisted thing we all call life. Plus a little randomness thrown in to balance it all out.

Its a comic about funny stuff.

Oh, ok, Where does it take place?

Mainly in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York and wherever they decide to go or think about. This comic is more than jokes, its a journey.

Is there a story?

No, not really. Just glimpses into their day to day actions amd the things that go on around them. Theres a real loose continuity but I wouldn't try to follow it too hard.

Why??

That's just the way life is..its not really about what happened as much as it is about whats happening but we can still laugh about the past though.

Isn't that Pretty deep for a comic strip?

Ahem, the proper term is sequential art..

How do you make it look so good?

Aww shucks, Thanks for the compliment. I just make the strip however it is convenient for me. I either draw it on the computer using my trusty optical mouse or on paper with any drawing utensil then scan it into my pc. Any route I take ends in using Photoshop to color, add shading, wording, and to set up panels. I'll give you all the complete tutorial when I make it.

Can I put your comic on my site?

Why not? Just don't edit it or credit it as your own...cuz it aint.

Who are the characters and why should I care?

There are soo many characters in the Twisted Comix universe that trying to explain them all to you would be like naming every creature on earth. So instead I'll tell you about the main characters.

And the main characters are?

Theres Ty the big headed star of the comic, Ty always has something to say and doesn't bite his tongue around anyone. Usually an intelligent guy he still hasn't learned the concept of when to shut up.

The big headed co-star of the comic, Lisha is who the girls want to be and who the guys want to be with. Too bad she's stuck with Ty and doesn't know exactly why.

Crys is Ty's friend and favorite target for jokes. While most times he is easy going and laid back he has been known to get ruthless with his comebacks.

When you look up friendly in the dictionary you'll see Chris's picture but is he really Mr.Nice guy or is he hiding something sinister behind the spectacles and fro?

Ty's total opposite in every which way...but if they're so different what keeps them friends?

Characters come and go so keep your eyes peeled for new folks in each strip from dark ex-girlfriends, celebs, mythical creature to cousins, future selves and more!

Who made the site?

Everything you see on this site is made by Tystarr Productions which is basically me, so you know I take huge pride in the design. Its the first thing people see when they log on to Twistedcomix.com. I put that extra effort into the way the pages look and work, doesn't it show?

The Past Websites

Ahh..Site number one. It was a good effort but totally not what I envisioned the Twisted Comix site to look like.

I love Coney Island so I try to show that affection in every thing that I do. This is the first design I tried to envoke some urban flair in.

Grunge! I wanted the site to reflect the artwork and have a "page" for the comic to sit on. This design stood the longest and I liked it but it was too off balance and just a bad layout.

Failed concept...This was suppose to be a more sleeker approach to site 3 but I just wasn't feeling it and I never put it online.

Perfect Design! Until a few days later when I felt it lost its "TwistedComix" feel. I had this main page up for a long time but never completed the other pages

This was the site I made before the last one. It was good at the top but lacked towards the bottom so I scrapped it until....

The site that wins the second place award for being up the longest. Didn't stand the test of time so it had to goooo.

Whats new with this page?

Well aside from the fresh new design the site...

Who makes Twisted comix?

Yes it is I, Tystarr. I should be speaking in third person like, "Tystarr is the author of Twisted blah blah blah" but thats weird so you're getting the stats straight from me!

Why Twisted Comix?

Why not? I like to draw and I like to think I'm funny so Twisted Comix is my little way of telling funny stories though my art oplus it gives me even more of a reason to draw.

As much as I love making comics reading them takes the cake. As a collector of hundreds of comics spanning from all times and genres only one thing comes close to that obsession and that it cooking! In addition to being an okay artist you can say I also I'm a culinary master. Cooking is one of my gifted talents that keeps me from starving daily and keeps me happy. Matter of fact maybe I should start selling food in the Twisted Comix store...

Can you teach me how to draw?

All I can tell you is draw and draw ALOT. Not just cartoons but draw from real life and whatever you draw in your head will come out just as nice. It just might take some time...
